African Legend was commissioned under the Percent for Art Program specifically for the interior lobby of the Widener Library Branch. Mounted to a brick wall, five overlapping steel antelope forms are depicted in varying stages of motion.  Beneath the antelopes reads: No one knows the story of tomorrow's dawn (African Proverb from the Asante people of Ghana.)
