- For the Criminal Justice Center, artist Ming Fay created two identical Spiral Ears with glass time capsules on their innermost curves. The spiral shape is meant to reference the cyclic and linear aspects of time. Suspended above the two escalator landings, the artwork can be seen from the first floor lobby through the mezzanine level windows. The location was chosen as it is symbolic of the left and right passages to the inner chambers of the courthouse.
